Counselor

The Crest Academy School Counselor assists students in achieving their academic, social/emotional and career goals through instruction, prevention and intervention. The counselor collaborates with students, parents and other professionals to determine how to remove barriers so that students may become successful both in school and beyond. Student needs are determined through a combination of data and referrals and a student centered problem solving model is used to intervene.

The Counselor is responsible for the implementation of Multi Tiered Systems of Support for academic and social/emotional needs, Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS)  and individual and group counseling. Through these systems we hope to engage and empower our students to become enthusiastic learners.

Our counselor is available for parents/guardians and may be reached by calling (719) 530-5395. Students are encouraged to visit anytime.
